Our Story

     The Catbird Seat is a twenty seven year old landscape nursery and garden center located at 8027 Madison Boulevard in Madison, Alabama. Madison is an affluent western suburb of the Huntsville, Alabama metropolitan area. Driven by space technology and the computer / information technology boom, the Huntsville region has grown to be one of the 100 largest metro markets in America in the last 40 years.  Madison is one of the fastest growing cities in Alabama . The Catbird Seat continues to grow with Madison.

     The facility is a 2000 square foot, attractive wood-frame building with 8800 square feet of greenhouse space next to the building on one and a half acres of land. The grounds are nicely landscaped, with asphalt driveway, concrete walks and irrigated gravel holding areas for the plants. It is an expansion of Landmark Landscape Services, started by Cory Brown in 1980. The business exists as a sole proprietorship. The main focus of the business is retailing plants, nursery stock, and related materials on a year round basis. Our marketing philosophy emphasizes excellent plants materials, supported by excellent information and guidance for the customer, and backed up with a one year warranty.
